What Does it Mean?

What does it mean to "support" a ministry?  A ministry, such as Global Trek, cannot reach people without financial support from their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.  How effective would an army be without the ability to supply its troops with the fuel, food, equipment, etc. that they need to accomplish their mission?  The answer is, they wouldn't be effective at all.  They would be unable to reach the fight, much less win once they got there.  This is why financial supporters for ministries are essential.  Global Trek would be unable to function without the Body of Christ's support.  The fellow Christian who supports a ministry, such as this one, is just as important as the "boots on the ground".

Unable to Give?

You may be one of many Believers who are unable to provide financial support.  What can you do?  The answer is simple...  get involved.  As a follower of Christ, you should already be affiliated with a healthy fellowship of Christians.  Speak to your Pastor to inquire as to where you can be of help.  There are many places/areas where you can get involved.  The bottom line is this - we are all on the same "team" with the same objective...  to show the world the love of Christ.  Global Trek encourages you to "roll up your sleeves" and get busy about the work of the Kingdom.

Some have money to help support ministries, but no time.  Others have time to get involved, but little money.  While some have both time and money.  Whatever your situation, you can make a difference!

What Will I Be Supporting?

If you've looked through this website, you know that Justin and Sheila are currently still in training and are not yet in the field.  If that's the case, what, you may ask, would your financial donations be used for?  If you choose to become a financial partner with Global Trek before Justin and Sheila begin their travels, your support would be used for financing Sheila's nursing school and Justin's flight school (see "Current Objectives" page).  Both are crucial skills to be effective in the field.

If you feel you would rather wait until Global Trek is mobile and in the field, Justin and Sheila ask that you please not forget about Global Trek and come back to visit on a regular basis.  Following Justin and Sheila's prgress (see subcategories under "Current Objectives" page) will allow them to prove to you how serious they are about this calling, and that they truly can be trusted with your support.
